I was born and raised in Northern France, growing up at the crossroads of Belgian and Breton families. From a very young age, I was captivated by building, architecture, and the spaces people inhabit. Some of my relatives lived in a London suburb, and crossing the Channel as a child sparked a fascination with British culture. My days were filled with BBC programs and British productions, and Monty Python quickly became my benchmark for humour.
I’ve always been drawn to understanding people—their behaviour, how they relate to their surroundings, how they move within communities, and how they navigate the boundaries of their lives. This curiosity was naturally intertwined with my creative ambitions, and I eventually fulfilled a dream by becoming a film director.
In 2002, I started drawing a little sheep character. It first appeared on Christmas and anniversary cards, and over time, many people began requesting their own. To me, it symbolised the Britain I had come to love: calm, green, stoical, and warm—the kind of place that felt like home wrapped in soft wool.
Life took unexpected turns. In 2011, my wife and I began a separation when our daughter was just four years old. I wasn’t ready for it, and it was painful. One day, we were a family; the next, I became a lone stranger with broken dreams. Out of that experience, I created a personalised book for our daughter, and for other parents navigating divorce who want to support their children through love and reassurance. Over time, I found a new way to channel my curiosity about people and their stories. Today, I host private, recorded conversations with entrepreneurs, independent creators, and multipotentialites, exploring their experiences, humanity, and creative journeys. Through Story Lane Live Studio, I turn these conversations into storytelling—sometimes public, sometimes private—often accompanied by photography, film, or illustration.
I collaborate with people and institutions who care about depth, clarity, and meaning. I help those navigating complex lives or multiple identities make sense of their stories, their work, and their future. I design systems and frameworks that connect different fields, projects, and ideas, turning complexity into clarity without losing nuance.
